Your Fair Your Army
Your Fair Your Army is an opportunity for the citizens of the great State of South Carolina to enjoy “your fair” as well as meet and interact with “your army.”
The United States Army, South Carolina Army National Guard and the United States Army Cadet Command will provide an unprecedented showcase of equipment and soldiers of different military occupational specialties. This is an opportunity to interact with soldiers and ask questions about what they do and the equipment they use.
Look for “Your Fair Your Army” in these three places:
- The gaming trailer located at the North end of the fairgrounds by the Rocket
- In the Ruff building
- An impressive display located near the South Gate, next to the Moore building

Located at the South Gate
The M1 Abrams is America’s main battle tank.
The Bradley is designed to transport infantry or scouts with armor protection, while providing covering fire to suppress enemy troops and armored vehicles.
The M109 Paladin is a 155 mm turreted self-propelled howitzer, indirect-fire support weapon of maneuver brigades of armored and mechanized infantry divisions.
Located in the Ruff Building
The Buffalo is a wheeled mine resistant ambush protected armored military vehicle.
The AAI RQ-7 Shadow is an American unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) used by the United States Army for reconnaissance, surveillance, target acquisition and battle damage assessment.
The Avenger Air Defense System is an American self-propelled surface-to-air missile system which provides mobile, short-range air defense protection for ground units against cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, low-flying fixed-wing aircraft, and helicopters.
The M-ATV is a Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle intended to replace the M1114 HMMWVs (Humvee), it is designed to provide the same levels of protection as the larger and heavier previous MRAPs, but with improved mobility.
The Stryker was conceived as a family of vehicles forming the backbone of a new medium-weight brigade combat team (BCT) that was to strike a balance between heavy armor and infantry
The Zodiac also known as the “Combat Rubber Reconnaissance Craft,” is a specially fabricated rubber inflatable boat often used by the U.S. Army and other branches of service.
Roving The Grounds
Strolling the fairgrounds for 6 days during the fair is “Fort Jackson’s Own” 282d Army Band. “Sounds of Victory!”
