Competitions-Frequently Asked Questions

General

• Can I have someone drop off my items for me?  YES! Feel free to have a family member, friend or colleague drop off. Many people team up and have one person handle drop-off and one handle pick-up.
• Can I have someone pick up my items for me? YES! Just like drop off.
• I can’t make the drop off dates you have. Can you take my items early? No. We are unable to accept items outside the provided times. Consider having a friend drop them off for you.
• I cannot make the pick up dates you have. Can I pick them up later? No. Items that are not picked up during the designated times may be disposed of.
• Do you charge to enter the contests? There is no charge for our building departments (Art, Home and Craft, Flowers/Plants and Agriculture).
• Can I enter more than one category? YES!  In Fine Art, you can only enter two total pieces. In Student Art, a student can only enter ONE piece. In Home and Craft, Agriculture and Plants, you can enter as many as you please. You are limited to one entry PER CLASS though.
• Where can I find the rules? Look in the EXHBIT GUIDE for your contest and it will have all dates, categories and rules included.
• When do I deliver my items? Look on the website and you will see dates and times listed for each department at the fair.
• Do you have contests for children? Yes we do! Check out this list for ideas on where children can enter. 
• Do I have to register online? Registering online is easy. It is required in Fine Art and Student Art. If you absolutely cannot register online, there are paper registration forms on each department’s page you can complete and mail in.
• When are results posted? Each department handles judging differently. When results are finalized, they need to be triple checked and uploaded to our database. This takes time. Please don’t call the fair office to ask about results. Keep checking your websites. Better yet, come to the fair opening day and see the results in person!
