Please Note:
**Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 is affecting lactating dairy cattle in the United States. USDA Veterinary Services has issued a federal order changing the importation requirements of lactating dairy cattle.
**The SC State Veterinarian’s office is working with the South Carolina State Fair on updating guidelines to reflect these changes for entry of lactating dairy cows onto the fairgrounds.
