A clear bag is easily and quickly searched, greatly reduces faulty bag searches and allows for a more efficient and effective process in checking bags that are brought into the SC State Fair.
Clear bags will be available at the gates for fairgoers to empty their belongings into before they enter the security checkpoint. Fairgoers also have the option to return their bags to their vehicle before entering.
Exceptions are typically granted for medically necessary items or diaper bags after proper inspection.

We recommend you drop pedestrians off at the North Gate, 1200 Rosewood Drive, across from Seawell’s.

To insure entry, and to have a faster experience at the gate – please complete this information and you will be given gate instructions. No outside food, beverages, or coolers are allowed to be brought into the S.C. State Fair. Exceptions may be made for guests with special dietary needs, including food allergies and baby food/formula. Please bring food in an approved bag (see clear bag policy at scstatefair.org/safety). To speed the process at the entry gates, please complete the questions below. You will receive an email from us in reply that you should bring with you to the entry gate of the fair.
