COVID-19 Safety

In an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19, the South Carolina State Fair is taking extra precautions to assure the health and safety of our employees and guests to the fairgrounds. It is our mission to keep guests and staff safe while also continuing to make your visit a memorable experience.

COVID-19 exposure is an inherent risk in any public locations where people are present: Guests should only attend events on the fairgrounds after evaluating their own health risks. Entry on to the Fairgrounds constitutes your understanding of these risks and your willingness to undertake the risk of exposure. We encourage each guest to take responsibility for their own health and safety, in addition to acting with care for the health and safety of those around them.

Hand Sanitizer Stations

There will be hand sanitation & handwashing stations throughout the fairgrounds. We highly recommend the use of hand sanitization stations as well as washing your hands frequently.

Check-in Process

Guests are encouraged to limit personal items to speed up the check-in process. We strongly advise guests to purchase advanced tickets online or at participating Circle K stores.

Limited Contact

To limit contact, cashless payment options are available and encouraged, and we strongly advise avoiding handshakes, embraces, and physical contact with others.

Face Coverings

The South Carolina State Fair encourages patrons to follow current CDC guidelines for face coverings in public places.  Please check the mask protocols for any particular event you may be attending on the fairgrounds.

Increased Cleaning Protocol

Facility cleaning protocols, including bathroom maintenance and frequent public touchpoints, has been increased to ensure cleanliness and the health and safety of all guests.

Hygiene Signage

There will be signage throughout the fairgrounds reminding everyone of the importance of COVID-19 safety protocols.

Social Distancing

Guests will be encouraged to follow the latest CDC social distancing guidelines carefully.

Employee Health

The South Carolina State Fair follows CDC guidelines and strategies to prevent and reduce transmission and maintain healthy business operations and work environments.
