Exceptional Citizens Day

Persons with life-long disabilities (developmental or physical) admitted free all day. One additional person admitted free when needed to assist the Exceptional Citizen.

All citizens of South Carolina are welcomed and encouraged to attend the South Carolina State Fair. We hope you will find this page helpful in planning your visit on any day of the fair; however, for several years we have set aside a special day, Exceptional Citizens Day, to recognize persons with disabilities and allow them FREE admission to the fair.

Handicapped Parking spaces (as available) in Lot 6 at South Gate on first-come, first-serve basis.

Service Animals
Service Animals trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities are permitted; however, under the ADA, service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal's work or the individual's disability prevents using these devices. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls.
