SOUTH CAROLINA STATE FAIR E-NEWS

South Carolina State Fair Agricultural and Mechanical Society of South Carolina

SPRING 2006

2006 FAIR DATES ~ OCTOBER 11 - 22

COLUMBIA

www.scstatefair.org

HAPPY SPRING and greetings from the South Carolina State Fair! This issue will focus on the use of the SC State Fairgrounds, other activities on the Fairgrounds throughout the year and several important changes for Competitive Exhibitors in 2006.

Chances are you have visited the fairgrounds since last October to attend one or more of the shows or events scheduled  by promoters throughout the year. The Grand Affair and the Boat Show in January; the Junior League's "Clean Sweep" and the SC RV Dealers Association Show in February; and in early March, the Craftsman's Classic Arts & Crafts Festival  and the Home Builders Association "Home Show" were just a few of the attractions on the fairgrounds in the first quarter of 2006.

Kudos to the SC State Fair "Grounds Crew" who work so hard throughout the year to keep our facilities in "showcase" order! To schedule an event at the fairgrounds, contact Tim Wilson at 803-799-3387 ext.11. Or click on the home page menu tab Throughout the Year, and then select Facility Rentals from the drop down menu where building specifications, fees, contact information and application forms are available.
