Shows

AMERICAFEST:
View a unique presentation of American History including
a Boeing 707 fuselage replica of Air Force One used by our
presidents. Stand in the Oval Office and issue your own
Executive Orders. See lovely First Lady Inaugural gowns,
wax figures and view an authentic Palm Beach, Florida voting
machine from the controversial 2000 elections. See one of
the nicest and most secure rides in the country; a 1984
Cadillac Limousine which served as the prototype for President
Reagan's fleet. Enjoy the opportunity for an official souvenir
photo from the Oval Office or as you deplane Air Force One.
View hundreds of authentic political memorabilia items from
elections and inaugurations past, including old and new
posters, buttons, inaugural medals and more! Featured daily
in the Cantey Building.
ANDES
COSMOS: All the way from South America and back
by popular demand, this group of musicians will wow you
with authentic Andean musical selections. Playing a variety
of Andean instruments, Andes Cosmos will entertain you with
their mastery of the Zamponos (panpipes made of bamboo),
their Quenas (flutes in various sizes and keys), and their
Bombo (a drum made of goat skin and wood). Be sure to catch
their performances daily as they make their way around the
Fairgrounds.
CARRIE
MCQUEEN - STILTWALKER: With her third visit to
the South Carolina State Fair, we are proud to present Carrie
McQueen roving the grounds. Not only is she an elegant and
glamorous ten-foot-tall Southern Belle, but she will amaze
you with her juggling ability as she strolls through the
Midway. A unique talent in the Fair community that you won't
want to miss. Roving the grounds daily.
COMMERFORD
AND SONS PETTING ZOO: Seen at the Macy's Day Parade,
the White House, and now the South Carolina State Fair.

Zoo features camels, elephants, and ponies, and, for those
brave enough to climb on board, you can even catch a ride.
Don't miss out on the opportunity to get a closer look at
your favorite animals. While this exhibit is certainly a
children's favorite, it promises to be entertaining for
all who attend. Be sure to use the Wash Stations that are
conveniently placed at the exit of this exhibit and around
all Livestock exhibits.
DALE
JONES - JUGGLER EXTRAORDINAIRE: You might have
seen him on USA Today or in People Magazine, or maybe you
caught him under the big top with Barnum and Bailey. Why?
Because Dale Jones is the world's only one-armed juggler.
Using a style he invented where his knees, feet and chin
do a lot of the work, Dale delights audiences with this
quick wit and fun-loving enthusiasm. Described as "one
of the best acts in the business" by other fairs across
the country, Dale Jones brings his spirited fun through
the fairgrounds in what the Associated Press calls a "one-of-a-kind"
experience. Roving the grounds daily.
DANCEHEADS
(Presented by Kitchen Craft): A NEW captivating
and innovative party entertainment is taking the US by storm.
DANCEHEADS will keep guests of all ages entertained and
coming back for more! Not just lip-synching, not just karaoke.
DANCEHEADS super-imposes participants' heads on professional
dancers' bodies while they sing along to some of the greatest
pop hits of all time. The outrageous effect is completed
with fully animated back-grounds. Monitors allow delighted
viewers to watch participants become singing, dancing stars!
It's hilarious, mesmerizing, and the hit of the party!@
Fun-filled entertainment for everyone! Each guests receives

forget with DANCEHEADS! Featured only October 11-15 on the
WIS Spirit of Carolina Stage. Check daily schedule for details.
DENNIS
LEE a.k.a. DENNY THE CLOWN: Probably one of the
best-known and most-loved entertainers at our Fair is Dennis
Lee. Dennis' love of people and the excitement he gets from
entertaining is evident by the crowd he draws year after
year. Loyal fans return each year to see and hear him perform.
He joins us again on the stage and also as the famous "Denny
the Clown". Don't miss this veteran performer who continues
to bring many smiles and much laughter to people of all
ages. Denny the Clown will be strolling the grounds and
Dennis Lee performing on the WIS Stage October 16-22.

basketballs, tennis racquets, and even fire torches on a
seven foot platform! Finally, high flying artist extraordinaire,
Alecia Michelle, performs breathtaking acrobatic feats over
30 feet above the ground on the aerial cloud swing, ending
with an amazing dive where she is supported by her heels
alone! You don't want to miss this high flying and rolling
family as they amaze with their circus thrill stunts!!!

and bend to entertain you with towering displays. Featured
daily on the WLTX Stage.
ROBINSON
CARVING COMPANY sponsored by Carolina Oil and Gas:
It may just look like a log to you, but to the Robinson
family of Missouri, logs are their easels ...their inspiration.
The Robinson family can carve anything with a chainsaw from
exotic animals to Indian and Western art, to wildlife! The
Robinson's believe that customer satisfaction is what keeps
their business growing and their chainsaw art in such demand!
Come watch while they make your order come to life! Performing
daily in front of the Moore Building.
ROCK-IT
THE ROBOT: At nine feet tall, this entertainer
is more than a robot; he's a self contained light show,
music box, and dance partner. Rock-It walks in 48-inch strides,
so he'll probably beat you to wherever it is that you're
going! He'll shake, rattle and roll with the best dancers,
amaze you with various digital voices, and treat you to
an illuminating light show. He'll even steal your heart
as he serenades with romantic ballads! This rocking entertainer
will definitely make you smile! Roving the grounds October
16-22.
RON
DIAMOND - HYPNOTIST: When the state of Kansas repealed
a law preventing hypnosis shows, Ron Diamond was called.
Because of his reputation with corporate buyers, and fast
paced amazing comedy shows, Ron is a mega popular performer.
In addition, this amazing hypnotist is an accomplished magician
and mentalist. No other performer can compare to his talent!
PLUS, he'll even act as a stage manager and MC! Don't miss
this multi-talented hypnotist performing daily on the WLTX
Stage.
SANDSCAPES:
What would you do with 150,000 pounds of sand? With 10 World
Sand Sculpting Championships under their belts, there is
no telling what the sand sculpture professionals from Sandscapes
will come up with this year. Working from our theme of "Red,
White, Blue", these artists will be working throughout
the first week of the fair to complete another amazing sand
sculpture. Com and meet these skilled professionals that
have worked around the globe as they sculpt a completely
original masterpiece out of 75 tons of the simple stuff
you find at the beach. Featured daily in the Ellison Building.
STATUEVIVA:
You thought you saw her move, or didn't you? She could be
part of an exhibit, or is she?? The Living Statue, Michelle
Harrell, brings art to life as she poses in statue form
to entertain and perplex patrons of all ages. Her heavenly
performance will have you oohing an ahhing as you begin
to question whether or not she's real. Roving the grounds
daily.

your oinkers! THE BOYS ARE BACK! Get ready
for an action packed, fast paced, high energy program that
is both visually impressive and entertaining. Watch as "Swifty"

ever see, and it's sure to make you smile! Performing daily
in front of the Nutt Cattle Arena.
TAYLOR
WARE - YODELER: You've seen her, you've heard her,
and you lover her. Taylor Ware, an "America's
Got Talent" Top 5 finalist, is coming

Attention:
USC Football Fans & Tailgaters
Good
News for Fair-goers...there are no football games scheduled
at Williams-Brice during the Fair in 2006!!! However, requests
for parking spaces are at an all time high. With the closing
of several parking lots around Williams-Brice stadium due
to the building of condos, it is becoming difficult for
football fans to find a place to park and/or tailgait.
We
still have a few sites left in the "Carolina"
lot located by the RV lot on Assembly Street. The
"Mall" area of the fairgounds (where the "Rocket"
is located) has been sold
out since May. Not to mention the RV lot!
We have rented every hook-up site to season campers and
are overflowing for some of the other games into Gate 5.
If
you haven't reserved your site to park, call Steve Felsberg
at 803-799-3387 ext. 22 or 1-888-444-3247 ext. 22 for an
application or go on line at
http://www.scstatefair.org/throughout-the-year/usc-reserved-parking.php.
Also
available online are applications for RV/Camper parking
reservations throughout the year and RV/Camper parking reservations
for Concessionaires and Commercial Exhibitors during the
2006 South Carolina State Fair. Click on the Throughout
the Year menu tab, and follow the drop-down menu.
Or e-mail Steve
Felsberg or telephone 803-799-3387, ext. 22 for more
information.
