Entry Fees Policy
Online Entry System - Fees must be charged to a major credit card.

Postal Mailed Entry Forms - Check or Money Order made payable to SC State Fair must accompany entry form.

Checks will not be accepted following the Closing Date. Any fees remaining on day of the show must be paid in cash.

Entry fees are non-refundable.

Entry Registration is required during any of the three (3) Entry Registrations Periods listed above. The preferred Open Entry Registration Period is August 1 - 31. Late Fees will apply to all exhibitors registering past the Open Entry Registration Period, August 1 - 31, 2008. Register using the Online Entry System and charge fees to a major credit card or complete registration on 2008 Official SC State Fair Swine entry form (or copy). Or mail entry form and fees to: SC State Fair, Entry Department, P.O. Box 393, Columbia SC 29202. Entry forms must be completed and signed by the exhibitor to list all requested information including Social Security or Farm Federal I.D. number if the exhibitor is listed as a farm. Incomplete entry forms will not be processed.

Entry Registration is limited to two (2) entries per exhibitor in each class. Exhibitors must furnish their own troughs and are responsible for keeping pens clean and in good condition.

IMPORTANT: Online registrations may include entries from Open & Junior Divisions. Junior Exhibitors using paper entry forms are asked to complete a separate entry form for each division. Junior Show entries in Open Show must be registered in farm or partnership, or be a child of the owner.

Health Regulations:

Swine are required to be inspected on the farm of origin by a veterinarian prior to shipment and receive a Health Certificate which must accompany the animals to the Fair.
All out-of-state swine must be from a Brucellosis-Free Validated Herd, and be from a Qualified Pseudorabies Negative Herd or a negative test within thirty (30) days.
Have your veterinarian put the date of your latest test or your herd number for brucellosis and pseudorabies on all out-of-state health forms.
Each animal shall be permanently identified by ear notch or other means and be free of lice and mange.
All Health Regulations are subject to change by Clemson University Livestock-Poultry Health Division.

Each Open Show exhibitor is required to purchase one (1) Exhibitor Pass at $5.00 each, valid for the duration of the Swine Show. Specify on entry form the exact number of pens needed. March, April and May pigs may have to be penned together.

Animal Registration papers must be in the name of the individual, FFA Chapter, 4-H Club or farm. Age shown on the certificate must conform strictly with the animal. Telegrams or letters from Breeders' Association will not be considered.

ARRIVAL TO FAIRGROUNDS: Enter fairgrounds at Gate 1 on Rosewood Drive and park in Exhibitors parking area in non-numbered spaces. The swine barn will be open to accept pigs from 12:00 Noon - 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 and from 8:00 AM - 12:00 Noon on Thursday, October 9, 2008. All swine, except barrows, must be in barn by 12:00 Noon on Thursday, and all swine, except barrows, will be released on Monday, October 13, 2008 at 12:00 Noon. Barrows will be accepted Tuesday, October 14, 2008.

Any change from this schedule without the consent of the Superintendent will result in forfeit all prizes and premiums.
