Open Entry Registration Period

August 1 - 31

All Small Stock entries must be registered during the month of August.

There will not be a Late Entry Registration Period for Small Stock.

From the Superintendent:

Due to limited space, judging considerations, and an increased number of entries in all smallstock areas, it may be necessary for the superintendent to reject some entries. entries will be accepted on the order received provided a good display is achieved.

Register using the Online Entry System or postal mail a 2008 SC State Fair Small Stock entry form to the Smallstock Superintendent to be received during August, 2008.

Entry Fees Policy

Online Entry System -  Fees must be charged to a major credit card.

Postal Mailed Entry Forms - Check or Money Order made payable to SC State Fair must accompany entry form.

Checks will not be accepted following the Closing Date. Any fees remaining on day of the show must be paid in cash.

Entry fees are non-refundable.

Exhibitor Pass - $10.00

(Not Required - see Rule #5)

Limited to exhibitor's showing minimum of ten (10) animals (passes are limited and available on on first-come basis)

Two (2) methods of entry registration is offered:

  • Online Entry System :
    Access the Online Entry System from http://www.scstatefair.org and register animals during the Open Entry Registration Period in August. Online Entry Exhibitors must charge Entry Fees to a major credit card.
  • Postal Mail

    2008 Official SC State Fair Small Stock entry registrations must be received by the Small Stock Superintendent by 12 Noon of the Closing date. Entry fee(s) should accompany entry registration form with checks payable to S.C. State Fair to be received by midnight of the posted Closing Dates. Phoned or faxed entries will not be accepted. Use only one (1) line per exhibit on the entry form.

All entries must be bonafide property of the exhibitor. We reserve the right to reject any entries not registered by 12:00 Noon of the Closing Date.

No exhibitor is permitted to handle any specimen but his own, except by permission of the Superintendent. Exhibits cannot be removed from the building without consent of the Superintendent. All exhibits arriving sick will be returned immediately or removed from the showroom. This includes mites and lice. Please take precautions.

An entry tag, containing exhibitor's number and breed, variety, and sex of the specimen will be fastened on each coop before judging. The entry tag will reveal the exhibitor names as soon as they are announced.

Exhibitor Passes: Small Stock will be fed and cared for by Fair personnel. Should an exhibitor wish to personally check on his animals, a limited number of exhibitor passes are available for purchase at $10.00 each from the Superintendent and will be available after coop-in on Tuesday, October 7 and Wednesday, October 8, 2008. These passes are valid for the duration of the fair. Due to limited parking, passes must be limited to exhibitors showing a minimum of ten (10) animals.

Small Stock entries accepted as room is available on a "First-Come" basis. Register early in the registration period to assure available space.
