The Home & Craft Department is divided into six (6) Divisions. Exhibitors submitting a 'hard copy' Home & Craft entry registration form must include the Division Code along with the Section Number, Class Number and Class Description. All exhibits must be claimed by 6:00 PM on Tuesday, October
21. Unclaimed exhibits will become the property of the
SC State Fair and will be donated to charity. NO EXCEPTIONS!

AND CRAFT GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS |

Exhibitor
must be a resident of South Carolina. |
| 3.
|
Exhibitor
may register using one of three methods: (1) online at http://www.scstatefair.org,
(2) Official 2008 SC State Fair entry form by postal mail, (3) or hand deliver. Entry registration
must be received by midnight of the closing date. If submitting
a paper entry form, complete form with name of exhibitor,
mailing address, telephone number, Social Security number,
exhibitor signature following the Liability, Waiver and
Release Statement, Division code, Section number, Class number and Class
Description (use exact words as listed on Online Premium
Guide). Articles not properly registered will be disqualified. |

Entry
tags and claim checks will be mailed to Exhibitor within
ten (10) working (M-F) days of receipt of entry.
If entry tags have not been received within ten working
days, telephone the Entry Office at (803)799-3387.
After verification of receipt of the entry registration
form and correct mailing address by Entry Department personnel,
duplicate tags will be mailed. Please note that
canning labels will no longer be used by the South Carolina
State Fair. |

Exhibitor
may register only one (1) article per class. |
6. |
No
article having previously been shown at the Fair and having
received a premium may be entered. |
7. |
Items
must be the sole work of the exhibitor, except as listed
for Group classes, and completed within the last three (3)
years. |
8. |
Exhibits
may not be removed from the building until Monday, October
20, 2008 from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM. |
| 9. |
Neither
the South Carolina State Fair nor the Home and Craft Department
staff will be responsible for any article not claimed by
6:00 PM on Tuesday, October 21, 2008. Unclaimed exhibits
will become the property of the SC State Fair and will be
dontated to charity. |
10. |
Claim
Checks must be presented when claiming articles following
close of the Fair. |
11. |
If
there are numerous entries in a class and if quality is
good, more than one (1) blue and one (1) red ribbon may
be awarded at the discretion of the judges. |
12. |
Any
registered entry entered erroneously, may be transferred
to the proper class prior to judging only at the discretion
of the Department Superintendent. If such classes have been
judged, they shall not be judged again. |
| 13. |
Professional vs. Amateur Defined - A Professional Exhibitor is defined as anyone who has earned more than $1,000 during a calendar year either by selling their items, teaching the subject, doing extended exhibiting, or involving themselves in other professionally related activities in a capacity that would give the entrant unfair advantage over a hobbyist. Unless otherwise designated as a Professional section, all classes should be entered by Amateurs.

used by almost all of last year's 2007 South Carolina State
Fair Sweepstakes
and Blue Ribbon winners in the Baked Goods Division.
Adluh®
will match up to $20.00 per person
in all classes for Recipes using a minimum of two (2) cups
of Adluh® Flour!
Proof
of Purchase Necessary --
For
each recipe, please provide bottom panel of bag,
UPC Number, and recipe (photo copies not accepted).
Use
Adluh® Plain All Purpose Flour in the familiar blue
trim bag
or for faster, easier preparation, use Adluh® Self Rising
Flour in the red trim bag.
Adluh®
Flour Contestant Rules and Regulations
| 1. |
Lakeside
Mills Inc. will match, per person, all baking class
premiums, not to exceed $20.00 per person, in all
baking classes by the 2008 S.C. State Fair for winning
entries using Adluh® Flour. |
| 2. |
For
each premium recipe submitted, a minimum of two
(2) cups Adluh® Flour is required. |
| 3. |
Each
recipe must be printed or typed on an 8 1/2 x 11
sheet of paper with the contestant's name, address,
and phone number. |
| 4. |
Each
recipe must be submitted within thirty (30) days
after judging with an original UPC label and bottom
panel of bag from an Adluh® Flour bag. One (1)
UPC label per contestant per entry. (Photocopies
will not be accepted). |
| 5. |
You
must also include your check stub from the state
fair premium indicating your winning entry. |
| 6. |
Entries
received beyond thirty (30) days of judging and/or
without original UPC code and bottom panel of bag
will not be accepted. Photocopies of UPC label will
not be accepted as an original. |
