1.
Anyone may enter roses into the exhibit. All entries must be grown by the exhibitor and are limited to any Old Garden Rose or any modern variety, which was introduced before 1950.
2.
Varieties must be identified correctly (except as noted). The names, classifications, and guidelines for judging roses entered in this exhibit shall be those approved by The American Rose Society and found in current publications.
3.
As many entries as desired may be made in a class (except as noted), provided each entry is a different variety. Duplicate entries by the same exhibitor in a class will be disqualified.

The Palmetto Garden Club will furnish containers and entry tags. Both the top and bottom of the tag must be filled in, showing class, variety and exhibitor's name and address. Introduction date must show in the upper right hand corner of the tag.
5.
The show committee will place the entries alphabetically by variety within each class. Blue or other ribbons may be awarded to each variety in a class, but only if merited.
6.
Exhibitors to enter through the South Carolina State Fair Grounds Service Gate (Gate 11) on Bluff Road.
7. ENTRY TIME: 7:45 am - 10:30 am (no entry placed after 10:45 AM). Judging will begin at 11:00 AM sharp.

Champneys-type Noisettes (Class 9) are those with large clusters of small blooms and a bush-type growth habit, resembling the first Noisette, 'Champneys' Pink Cluster.
9.
Polyanthas, Champneys-type Noisettes, and Shrubs with a similar cluster-flowering habit should be exhibited as sprays. All other entries may be exhibted as either sprays or solitary blooms. The most perfect stage of possible beauty (OGR) is usually at the fully open stage. Side buds are permitted.
