| 1. | The
South Carolina State Fair Rules and Regulations
shall apply in conjunction with The
South Carolina State Fair Flower Show General Rules and
Regulations. |
| 2. | Cut
Horticulture entries must be registered according to the
entry registration periods stated on Flower Index page. |
| 3. | Entries
will be received Tuesday, October 19, 2010 from 8:00 AM
until 10:00 AM. Exhibitors will use the Service Gate (Gate
11) on Bluff Road and must remove cars from parking lot
by 10:00 AM. Judging (closed to the public) at 1:30 PM.
Open to the public at 4:00 PM. |
| 4. | Horticulture
specimens must be properly named. If class is not listed
on the schedule, entry will not be accepted. Containers
will be furnished for all entries. Exhibitor may use plastic
wrap for wedging specimens. |
| 5. | When
the number of varieties of specimens in a class is stated,
an exhibit of greater or lesser number will be disqualified.
Classes marked "Any Other" means there must be
two (2) or more plant specimens to name the class. |
| 6. | Cut
horticulture specimens will not be returned. Any ribbons
in this division must be picked up on Monday, October 25,
2010 between 8:30 AM and 2:00 PM. |
| 7. | All
specimen flowers must be grown by the exhibitor and entered
in grower's name only. |
| 8. | Entries
are limited to thirty-five (35) entries per exhibitor in
Cut Horticulture Division. |
| 9. | Entries
are limited to one (1) entry per class per exhibitor. |
| 10. | All containers, accessories, potted plants and ribbons must be claimed by 2:00 PM on Monday, October 25, 2010. The S.C. State Fair and the Show Committee will not be responsible for items left after this time. |
| The South Carolina State Fair will present in memory of Mr. David G. Ellison an engraved silver tray to the winner of the David G. Ellison Award for Horticultural Excellence selected from exhibits in the Potted Plant and Cut Horticulture Divisions. |
