The SC Farm Bureau will award two $2,500.00 annual
scholarships according to the following format:
1.
Open only to South Carolina youth.
2.
Applicant must be an exhibitor at the South Carolina State Fair.
3.
Applicant must be a high school student in grade 10, 11, or 12 or presently enrolled in college.
4.
Applicant must at some future date pursue a four-year degree program.
5.
There must be a minimum of three (3) applicants for this scholarship.
6.
Applicant must complete a scholarship entry form and submit in person to the Junior Beef Superintendent by Friday, October 17, 2008 at 6:00 PM.
7.

The scholarship will be awarded to the individual with the
combined top score in the following sections:

Evaluate Heifer Class
10%
Showmanship
15%
Production Quiz
25%
Discussion Question
25%
Judges Interview
25%

Friday, October 17
6:00 - 6:45 PM - Production Quiz and Discussion Question
7:00 PM  - Showmanship Contest - No Fitting -- Use Your Own Heifer
7:45 PM - Judge One Class of Cattle -- Placings Only
8:00 - 10:00 PM - Interviews with Judges
