The Agriculture Department is divided into six divisions and are coded as follows:

FC - Field Crops

FN - Fruit & Nuts

H - Honey

W - Wine

V - Vegetables

CT - Christmas Trees

Exhibitors submitting a paper entry form must include the Division Code along with the Section Number, Class Number and Class Description.

No change for online entries.

PLEASE NOTE: Section Numbers have changed from previous years. Entry forms received with incorrect Section numbers will not be processed.

Entry Registration may also be hand delivered to the Dowling Building Administrative Office during regular office hours

ENTER GATE 5 ON GEORGE ROGERS BLVD.

Entry tags should be received in postal mail by October 1, 2008. Contact Entry Department at (803)799-3387 ext. 23 if entry tags are not received by this date. Exhibitor should retain the Claim Tag located in the upper right corner in order to claim exhibit(s) following the fair.

Agricultural exhibits will be received in the Cantey Building on
Sunday, October 5 from 12 Noon - 5:00 PM

and

Monday, October 6 from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM


Judging (closed to the public) will be on Tuesday, October 7 prior to opening day of the Fair.

ENTER GATE 5 ON GEORGE ROGERS BLVD.

Agriculture exhibits will be released only to persons with Claim Tags on
Monday, October 20 from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM in the Cantey Building.

Unclaimed exhibits become the property of SC State Fair and will be donated to charity.

(Agriculture Judging closed to public)

The South Carolina State Fair General Rules and Regulations shall apply, as well as Section rules stated in this premium guide.
2.
Entry Registration is required during the Open or Late Entry Registration Periods. Register using the Online Entry System or postal mail completed 2008 Official South Carolina State Fair Agriculture entry form to SC State Fair, P.O. Box 393, Columbia SC 29202. Entry Registrations may also be hand delivered to the Dowling Building Administration Office during regular office hours of 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. Faxed entries are not accepted.
3.
ENTRY CONFIRMATION - Exhibitors using the Online Entry system receive a confirmation that their entry has been received. Persons wishing confirmation of mailed entry registration should include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with entry registration. Do not telephone the Entry Department for this information.
4.
Exhibitor must be a resident of South Carolina and entries must have been grown by the exhibitor in South Carolina.
5.

Exhibitor may register one (1) entry per class, with exception of Honey and Wine classes.

6.
All entries not in accordance with the schedule will be disqualified.
7.
Exhibits will be received only during the dates and times listed under the Delivery of Exhibits Schedule.
8.
Spanish Moss, nor any other highly flammable substance, will be allowed in any building, at any time, on the fairgrounds.
9.
Exhibits must be claimed on Monday, October 20, 2008 between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The Fair will not be responsible for exhibits left past this time. Unclaimed exhibits will be donated to charity.
